More Vet Movements

Unfortunately, Dr Kate Parrish has had to resign due to a combination of personal circumstances. In her short time with us, Kate had made a strong impression and we wish her well wherever her future career takes her. We have begun looking for a suitable replacement for her, which all the remaining (busier) vets hope won’t be too long!

New Floor

Harradine’s looks a bit like a construction site at the moment as we are having new floor coverings laid throughout the original hospital. The old material was almost 20 years old and though it still had plenty of wear , it was proving impossible to get to look as good as we would have liked, even with a LOT of elbow grease. It should be done within a few weeks, so please bear with us during this time.

Rattles Ride for Cancer

Harradine and Associates and many other local businesses have sponsored Ian Retallack, who is about to travel around Australia by horse and wagon raising money for cancer research. “Rattles” will be accompanied by horses “Matt” and “Paddy” (who I guess will be doing the physical stuff) and his dog “Russ”. Cat Laws and Microchipping Day Sunday 3rd November

The Cat Act comes into force on the 1st November- the main practical implications of this are that all cats have to be registered and identified with a microchip (as well as non breeding cats being required to be desexed). We are holding a microchipping day from 10am-2pm on Sunday the 3rd of November where we will be microchipping both cats and dogs for $30, which is about half the normal price. As the event is being held at our hospital, it is a safe and calmer environment for cats to be chipped in. No appointment is necessary, so come along if your furry friend needs a chip.

Website Update

We are in the middle of trying to make our website more user friendly and generally more informative. Thanks to Andrew and the crew at Brandicoot for doing their best to facilitate this and make our rough ideas workable. Bear with us for a few weeks and hopefully the site will be much better.
