Vaccinating your horse against Tetanus and Strangles is extremely important. Below is a chart with the recommendations for vaccinating foals and horses.
Unvaccinated adult horses (or horses whose vaccination record is unknown) should receive three initial vaccinations, followed by yearly boosters.
There are also vaccinations for Herpes, Salmonella, Hendra virus and Rotavirus A. We recommend that you speak with one of our equine veterinarians regarding these vaccinations.
Vaccinations are given by intramuscular injection in the centre of the side of the neck.
